Knee Pain Relief Exercises For The Office

Chairkneeextension

The office can be one of the great silent killers. One way to combat health issues like knee pain is to find ways in your normal office environment that you can do daily, simple movements to provide relief for existing pains in the knees, back, shoulders and neck. A fantastic exercise that is anyone can do at work is the chair knee extension.

Office Chair Knee Extension

Just sit up in your office chair, rest your foot on another chair or item so the knee is slightly raised. Gently lift the raised knee upwards in a straight led position with your toes pointing to the ceiling. Hold for 5 – 10 seconds and release. Repeat 5 times on each leg.

Another version of this is by sitting up in your chair with your feet flat on the floor, raise one leg until your toes are pointing to the ceiling and you feel a slight stretch behind the knee. Again hold for 5 to 10 seconds and release. Do this 5 or more times then switch legs.
